| Welcome to the Edinburgh Lions Basketball
Club website! We are the one of the fastest-growing clubs in Edinburgh with an adult membership of approximately 50 men and women. We currently run a Senior Men's squad and a Senior Women's squad, both competing in the Lothian Leagues and Scottish Cups. Our club was founded in October 2006 and has grown very quickly since then, attracting members of more than 20 nationalities. We have already launched a thriving women's section and in partnership with Leith Academy have expanded to include a youth section. The last two years we have also run a successful mixed Summer League over 14 weeks involving teams from Edinburgh and the surrounding area. Award Winners - This Season's Lions Awards winners were: (Men - MVP: Adam Pollock, Defensive Player: Javi Ruiz, Most Improved: Arek Dytkowski) (Ladies - MVP: Aoife McMahon & Mel Cameron, Defensive Player: Patsy Matheson, Most Improved: Saskia Gildawie) Westwoods Summer League - The summer league starts on Friday July 2nd and runs for 11 weeks.
